The Wilson Botanical Garden is considered one of the most important gardens in Costa Rica. This green area is located in Las Cruces biological station and is part of La Amistad Biological Reserve.

The botanical garden was founded by the Wilson couple in 1963 to preserve the more than one thousand species of tropical plants inhabiting it, and to contribute to the promotion and development of scientific awareness and environmental respect.

Here, you will admire amazing tree species and follow paths that will take you to an astonishing bamboo forest and to a palm collection, which includes more than seven hundred specimen.

For the most adventurous, it is offered a thrilling trip in a path of 1.5 km which goes through a dense forest and which includes an exciting flight in zip lines, as well as a unique and unforgettable night tour through the botanical garden.
