You can visit lots of Costa Rican national parks, such as Cachuita National Park, which is located in the south Caribbean coast. While going through its paths take a moment to admire the huge amount of autochthonous wildlife that surrounds it.

Corcovado National Park is also one of the most remarkable national parks in the country. It is located in the southern region of the Osa Peninsula. This national park is one of the biggest biodiversity reserves worldwide, what makes it the perfect place to observe hundreds of different animals, that range from monkeys to crocodiles.

Tortuguero National Park is another must-go place of Costa Rica. It is well-known for the egg-laying of sea turtles. Don’t miss the chance to admire this miracle of nature and, if you can, book the accommodation just inside the own park to better see this wonderful moment in the life of turtles.

Getting to have the most exotic stroll of your life can be achieved by visiting Manuel Antonio National Park and its astonishing tropical rainforest. By the end of this marvelous walk you will reach a small private beach, a perfect place for those who are keen on water sports, especially surfing.

You can also visit Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park, located within the Guanacaste Conservation Area, which was declared world heritage by the UNESCO. This national park is covered by a striking forest and contains some small mud volcanoes and thermal water sources, which form a natural spa at the foot of the volcano. There are other ones such as Poás Volcano, 27000 meters height, Arenal Volcano, Irazú Volcano, and Turrialba Volcano.

Apart from seeing them, you can also take a boat ride through the Tempisque River. While completing this route you will be able to watch crocodiles, iguanas and howler monkeys thanks Costa Rica’s great biodiversity. The Tempisque River is bordered by rainforests in both sides that will allow you to enjoy a magnificent landscape.

To finish with this itinerary, in Guanacaste you will find the Barra Honda National Park, an enchanting place full of caves with stalactites and stalagmites.
