Among the peculiarities of this park, its landscape diversity stands out. Amid the different formations, the tombolo in Punta Uvita and its organic reefs are to be highlighted. Those are relevant tourist attractions due to their astonishing natural beauty.

The Marino Ballena National Park has four well-differentiated areas, where you can fully immerse into the purest Costa Rican nature. These areas are the sectors Piñuela, Ballena, Colina and Uvita. Each of them has some characteristics which will let you undertake a wide range of activities. Among those, we find:

- Piñuela Sector: It has a perfect zone to spend some family time, since its beach has the perfect features to spend a calm day and take a relaxing bath. Furthermore, this sector has a washing and camping area, where you will be able to spruce up and enjoy a family meal.

- Ballena Sector: It has become a key place for the most adventurous ones due to its rough waters, which will turn your bath into an extreme sport. This sector includes toilets and a camping area, where you can enjoy the surrounding lush vegetation.

- Colonia Sector: This place may usually go unnoticed, since it does not have any beaches to enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the park, but this sector also has a washing and camping area.

- Uvita Sector: Although it does not have a camping area, it does have a washing area. This sector is one of the most visited places there because of the impressive landscape with the Tómbolo.

Without doubt, the Marino Ballena National Park is one of the most beautiful and entertaining parks in southern Puntarenas, and you should not miss it during your visit to Costa Rica.
