The Port of Limón and the Port of Caldera are the most important ports in Costa Rica. The Port of Limón is the main one in the Caribbean Sea’s shore and the biggest one in the country. It is located in the city of Limón and, if you visit it, you will surely fall in love with this city and its Caribbean atmosphere.

On the other hand, the Port of Caldera is the biggest and most important one in the Pacific coast. As the majority of the cruises arrives at one of these two ports, there are lots of cruise companies that operate in them offering the opportunity to know this wonderful country while sailing in astonishing floating hotels.

The ports located in the city of Quepos and in Golfo Dulce (Sweet Gulf) are also relevant as they are excellent places to enjoy the best sport fishing due to the many excursions to open seas that are offered. Also, in this port exceptional port you will be able to enjoy lots of diverse fish species.

You can also go to different places in the Pacific coast from Puntarenas to Tortuguero by taking ferries in Puntarenas or a small boat in Tortuguero to visit the wonderful Tortuguero Canal.
