Nature and isolation are the most characteristic features of Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast, which was discovered in 1502 by Christopher Columbus. It is isolated from tourists by Guanacaste, Tilarán and Talamanca Mountain Ranges, that separate this paradisiacal region from Central Valley while avoiding the arrival of massive population and tourism. Therefore the area has turned into an unspoilt territory of an impressive flora and fauna.
