The beaches of this canton have a true natural richness that will make of your trip an unforgettable experience. Discover these beautiful beaches of white and dark sand that will provide you with a calm bath in their warm and crystalline waters where, also, you can also practice a wide variety of water sports, such as snorkeling or surf.

In Garabito beaches, surfing is one of the water sports par excellence because the rough waters of the majority of them will allow the most experienced surfers to enjoy up to 4 m high waves. That is why Jacó Beach held the ISA World Surfing Games in 2009. Other beaches, like Blanca Beach or Herradura Beach, are perfect for beginner or intermediate level surfers who wish to learn and improve their skills. Besides, these beaches offer a stunning landscape full of vegetation.

And, finally, Hermosa Beach offers a real show for its visitants, as expert surfers from all the world come here to surf up to 13 m tall waves from strong currents. Therefore, every August, the Quicksilver International World Surfing Championship is held in this beach.
