The Iglesia de San Bartolome Church, in Barva, dates back to 1867. It is an elegant building with a Latin cross-shaped nave and a neoclassical facade characterised by its pure tones and its simple lines.

Inside, it holds some historically important images and decorations. The most outstanding one is a statue of Jesus of Nazareth that was brought from Guatemala and that it is said to have some miraculous properties.

The Our Lady of Lourdes grotto can also be found next to the church. It is embedded into a stone niche that guards the image of the virgin and the shepherdess that witnessed her appearance, Bernadette Soubirous, on her knees.
