The Museo Municipal de Cartago (City Museum of Cartago) is located in the historical building of the old command headquarters of Cartago. This construction was designed by the well-known Catalan architect Lluis Llach Llagostera and its style will not go unnoticed during your stay in the city.

The museum was inaugurated in 2010 with the noble purpose of promoting and preserving the art and culture of the Cartago province through the works of local and national renowned artists. In the museum, you will be able to contemplate some of the many and continuous exhibitions displayed. Moreover, the music that sounds in its hallways will make your visit more pleasant. If desired, it is possible to hire a guided tour to know the works in depth. The museum has also an excellent digital library where films are often shown. Besides, some lectures and social gatherings with numerous artists take place there.
