Its landscape, surrounded by majestic mountains, spreads out through virgin forests and large ranches with coffee plantations forming terraces on the wavy hills. You will have an excellent view of the area from the Mirador de Orosí overlook, situated in a perfectly equipped place to enjoy a relaxing family day.

Beside the village of Paraíso, you will be able to discover the beauty of the Lankester Botanical Garden and go for a walk enjoying its superb collection of orchids. In order to buy an excellent organic coffee, you can head to the Finca Café Cristina Ranch, where you can also discover the cultivation, harvest and toasting processes of this precious golden Costa Rican bean.

The village of Orosí was chosen, together with Ujarrás, by the Spanish conquerors to establish their first settlement in Costa Rica due to its water wealth and fertile land. It is possible to learn more about its history at the adjacent Religious Art Museum of Orosí.

The Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de Ujarrás Church Ruins also stand out in the nearby village of Ujarrás. They transform its location into an evocative place where a popular pilgrimage takes place every year.

Moreover, in the Tapantí-Macizo de la Muerte, which is one of the most beautiful national parks in Costa Rica, you will enjoy a privileged environment with marvelous views and excellent activities for hiking lovers.

Finally, in the Cachí Lake, the impressive work of engineering that its dam represents will surprise you. Moreover, you can approach the original work of the sculptor Macedonio Quesada by visiting the place where he lived and worked, the splendid Casa del Soñador House.
