The house presents a wooden structure divided into two floors. On the first floor, you will find the workshop-school of popular craftwork, led by Quesada’s children, who have carried on the tradition of wood carving since the death of the artist in 1995. On the second floor, you can contemplate a small museum of indigenous elements, as well as a collection of objects (photographs, newspaper clippings, personal items, etc.) that will let you learn about the personal and artistic career of Quesada. The house is largely made of bamboo and branches of the coffee plant, thoroughly carved, with elements linked with the countryside and typical of the coffee culture.

In the Casa del Soñador house, works are created and sold. This can be either related to the local tradition, everyday life, images of peasants, farmers, musicians, or religious works, carved making the most of the sinuous and warped shape of the branches and roots of the coffee tree. Quesada’s work is deliberately far removed from the academic standards; he is a deep-rooted primitive popular artist who establishes his own visual language, intimately bound to traditions and land. Thus, Quesada’s creations are simple, candid and truly expressive.

People in charge of the museum sometimes take visitors in an interesting tour by the surroundings, while they explain them the coffee cultivation process and the use of medicinal herbs in the region.
