The Curú National Wildlife Refuge is clearly one of the wildest spots in Costa Rica. This refuge is characterized for sheltering a wide variety of wild species, which makes of this place a biological and scientific model in natural biodiversity.

One of the most remarkable attributes of this refuge is the great diversity of wild birds that make their nest there, turning this place into an interesting spot for ornithological studies.

Amongst them, its wonderful beaches, which are Curú Beach, Poza Colorada Beach and Quesera Beach, are perfect places to take a relaxing bath or practice many water activities, being the most relevant ones snorkeling and diving. In addition, it also has a vast paths network for hiking and observing the great variety of animal species that live in the refuge.
