The Museo Rafael Obregón Loría Masonic Museum - Grand Lodge, in San José, is one of the oldest museums of Costa Rica. The museum collection is mainly based on the masonic history and on the liberalism.

Rafael Obregón Loría was one of the leading and decisive figures in the research on history, liberal and masonic influences in Costa Rica, becoming a Master of the country’s Masonic Lodge. He was also the one that established the Museo Rafael Obregón Loría Masonic Museum - Costa Rica’s Grand Lodge in 1937.

There, you can find exhibitions of the European history and its influences on the country. Among the museum’s cultural heritage, what really stand out are the articles and documents from the liberal period and the masonic ones.
