It has a wide terrestrial and marine biodiversity, like coral reefs, white-sand beaches that connect with magnificent forests and rainforests and big mountains surrounded by foliage, which makes of this park an essential tourist destination.

Discover the wonders hidden in this park and get in contact with its wide variety of exotic animals. It should be kept in mind that feeding these animals is strictly forbidden, as this would affect their regular diet and, consequently, their health. Discover more species of these exotic animals in Damas Island, close to Quepos, a place full of worth-knowing natural scenes which can be accessed through this park.

The main aims of the Manuel Antonio National Park are to preserve its nature, present in all its protected landscapes, and the protection of numerous endangered species of flora and fauna.

That is why, recently, some appropriate facilities have been built in order to make the access easier for visitors, such as a visitors center, a ranger station, viewpoints, resting areas and supporting infrastructures. It has also been implemented the “Plan Maestro de Senderos” (‘Trail Master Plan’), which incorporates paths to make easier to the public the access to Punta Catedral, the waterfall, the viewpointEspadilla Beach and Manuel Antonio Beach, amongst many other points of interest, making of this visit an essential experience.
