The Avenida Central (Central Avenue) is one of the busiest avenues of San José since there and in its surroundings most of the touristic attractions are located.
You can find cultural attractions in this area such as the emblematic Central Bank, Presentes Plaza and Cultura Plaza. You can also enjoy while contemplating one of the buildings with more historical and cultural importance of Costa Rica: the National Theatre.
One of the main identity marks of Central Avenue is the joy that its colourful buildings and green areas convey. There, you can enjoy the best live music and buy some souvenirs at its charming shops.
